The mother behind the brand
Modern Cloth Nappies was founded by Stephanie, a dedicated mother of two, and an advocate for positive change. Stephanie's story is more than just about starting a business; it's a testament to the power of choice, resilience, and compassion.
Choosing reusable nappies amidst postnatal anxiety & depression
Stephanie's journey with reusable nappies was born out of a personal struggle. When faced with postnatal anxiety and depression after the birth of her first child, she embarked on a quest to find solutions that would not only be gentle on her baby's skin but also have a positive impact on her mental well-being. It was during this challenging time that Stephanie discovered the many benefits of modern cloth nappies and created her own fuss-free, now multi award-winning designs!
Choosing to use cloth nappies provided Stephanie with a sense of purpose and a way to connect with her baby. The process of caring for her child with the utmost care and love through the use of reusable nappies gave her a renewed sense of confidence and joy.
Supporting PANDAs perinatal mental health charity
Stephanie's personal experience ignited a passion within her to support other parents who may be going through similar struggles. She believes that no parent or carer should feel alone or unsupported during such a critical time in their lives. That's why Modern Cloth Nappies is proud to be a dedicated supporter of the Pandas Perinatal Mental Health Charity.
A portion of our proceeds goes directly to Pandas, helping them in their mission to provide vital support and resources to parents dealing with perinatal mental health challenges. Frequently asked questions
How many reusable nappies for use part-time
Based on using 2-3 reusable nappies per day on a part-time basis we reccommend you have 8-10 nappies with washing every 1-2 days.
How many nappies for use full-time
For full-time use we would reccomemed 18-25 nappies. This is based on using 6-8 reusable nappies per day and to allow 1-2 days between washing.
How often should you change a reusable nappy
When it comes to changing nappies, we recommend you change your baby’s nappy around every 2-3 hours, earlier if soiled. You can boost your baby’s nappy for night-time use. This is a guide; you may find you achieve longer or shorter times in modern cloth nappies dependant on babies age and how much they wee/poop.
